The five main gates
Each main gate is topped by two minarets, so you can spot it from a distance.

Straight to the Mataf (Ka'bah courtyard)
- Ground floor: King Abdulaziz Gate (1), King Fahd Gate (79) and the Al-Salam basement (19).
- First-floor Mataf: over the Shubaikah, Ajyad and Al-Arqam entrance bridges.
- Leaving the Mas'a after Sa'i (ground and first floor): Al-Safa Gate (13), Al-Nabi Gate, Al-Marwah Gate, the Al-Marwah bridge and the Al-Marwah carts bridge.

More inside the mosque
- The Mataf and the Mas'a: the white marble courtyard around the Ka'bah is the Mataf; Sa'i runs seven laps between Safa and Marwah in the covered Mas'a.
- Finding your way: in Ramadan about 60 guidance points with 360 field guides have operated, with instant translation, colour-coded multilingual signs and digital screens that send worshippers to other prayer areas when one is full.
- Crowd levels: the Authority's portal shows how busy the Tawaf and Sa'i areas are — check before you go down to the Mataf.
- Library: the branch inside the mosque runs around the clock, with set times for men and women; the Bataha Quraysh branch opens Saturday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Its digital collection holds more than 23,000 manuscripts.
- Sermons and lessons online: the Manarat Al-Haramain platform streams sermons, lessons and live broadcasts from both mosques, with translations of the Friday and Arafah sermons.
- Feedback: the Rafid Al-Haramain platform (launched May 2026) takes reports, questions and suggestions from visitors.
